Don’t Give Up on Rebates
I recently bought a mixer at Bed Bath and Beyond. As I paid for the item I was very pleased to find out that it came with a rebate offer for a $70 glass bowl. I dutifully filled out the form, attached the receipt, and cut out the UPC for submission. We even got an email notification that our rebate had shipped. About a week later we got a post card in the mail that the rebate had been rejected due to invalid UPC. I went to the company website and saw they have online chat with customer service. I wrote one sentence stating that I was pretty sure that we did the rebate process correctly and I was disappointed. The customer service rep immediately said she would give me a one time correction and reward the rebate as advertised. Go figure!
